There it was, the newspaper article that would change the course of my life…
It described how enterprising people were working from home or their local cafe, with clients all over the world.
All you needed was an internet connection and skills that would be helpful to other business owners.
That was back in 2004, when the concept of working virtually was relatively new. I had always loved working with computers and had an ongoing obsession with technology.
The advent of the internet was a dream come true. I remember a friend showing me the website she had set up. I knew I had to learn how to do this myself!
Reading that article came at just the right time. I had been feeling stressed about my corporate job. I felt stifled and knew that I wasn’t making the most of my skills.
I took the leap gradually, going part-time in my cubicle and then full-time in my business when I had enough clients. Fast forward to today.
I have worked with multiple clients all over the world, helping them leverage the internet to grow their businesses. Most of my clients are business coaches, consultants, public speakers and authors.
I now have over 15 years of experience in Digital Marketing and a Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing and International Finance.
My ideal working day is getting up early, doing yoga or going for a run, then spending the day working with clients.
